The Working Men's Club and. Institute Union held a third
dis- cussion last Wednesday, at Exeter Hall, on the subject of houses for the working classes, when Mr. Torrens, the member for Finsbury, made an excellent speech, advocating throwing the responsibility of pulling down unfit houses and rebuilding fit houses in their places on the municipal authorities. Next Thurs- day, May 10, there is to be a public dinner in support of the funds of the Society, at the Freemasons' Tavern, at six o'clock, the Duke of Argyll in the chair.
