We have received two volumes of a series entitled "The

Children's Heroes," Edited by John Lang (T. C. and E. C. Jack, is. 6d. net per vol.) Mr. Andrew Lang makes an excellent beginning with The Story of Joan of Arc, and Mr. John Lang follows with The Story of Captain Cook. We have tried the latter on a child of five, and found the narrative much appreciated.
