A perusal of the Oxford weeklies shows how the projected
film, The City of Youth, is stirring the University. The Isis of October 19th had a slashing but quite sensible article on the subject, although the conclusion was open to question : " there is no valid reason why we, who at the moment compose Oxford and all that is in it" (who would have thought it?), " should allow ourselves to be depicted as the trumpery actors in a roseate spectacle for colonial nincompoops." The Isis has a lively style and a large circulation. Why haven't the women undergraduates a weekly of their own ? .
