[To the Editor of THE SPECTATOR.] SIR,—Dr. Mozley is, of

course, quite right in saying that denial of the Virgin Birth in the Primitive Church was con- fined to- the Ebi011iteS. On the other hand, belief in that doctrine did not necessarily carry with it belief in our Lord's divinity. Both in ancient and modern times it has been held by those whom we may class under the general name of Unitarians.
