The White Star Line has decided to build two ships

longer, deeper, and broader than the Lusitania' and Mauretania.' It is said that the gross tonnage will be about eight thousand tons more than that of the Ounarders; and Messrs. Harland and Wolff will take about three years to build them. One is to be called the 'Olympic,' and the other probably the Titanic.' They will not be remarkable for speed. Of course it is not worth while for companies to build specially for speed, except in return for a Government subsidy.
