Sir: In confusing the location of Monet's garden at Giverny with a French fashion house, Givenchy, Martin Bailey (Exhibi- tions, 30th March) has confirmed the long- held conviction of this, admittedly left-of- centre, reader that the British Right is incurably philistine.
