[Lady Lawrence requests us to publish the following ;—" Mr. R. Bosworth-Smith, of Harrow, late Fellow of Trinity College, Oxford, and author of 'Mohammed and Mohammedanism ' and Carthage and the Carthaginians,' has been entrusted with the preparation of a biography of the late Lord Lawrence, of the Punjab. As there is considerable difficulty in collecting materials for the earlier portion of his life, the family of Lord Lawrence would be much obliged to any one who, having personal reminiscences or letters of his during his youth in Ireland and England, and his first sixteen years in India (1830.1846), would communicate with Mr. Bosworth-Smith."]
