Sir: Sir Keith Joseph's letter to you last week was laughable if nothing else. Is he really saying that expressions like "ill-considered" and "infelicitous" are abusive? He showed little sense of proportion, and by repeating his remarks about "socialist slumdon" injured his own cause.
