Carmarthen Assizes closed on Monday ; when the men called
Shony- sybor-fawr and Dai-y-cantwr were sentenced respectively to transporta- tion for life and for twenty years. Other prisoners were sentenced to imprisonment for terms varying from six to twelve months.
At the Mansionhouse yesterday, Mr. William Christy, a Custom- house agent, was held to bail under an indictment for being concerned in recent frauds on the revenue at the Customhouse.
