FARMING BY MACHINERY

Sia,—It might seem from Mr. Hosier's most interesting article that the large quantity of his production coupled with his small quantity of labour means that the total labour on the farm has been decreased by his methods. Having known Wexcombe long before Mr. Hosier bought it I do not think that this can be so, but it would add much to the value of the article if he would tell us the labour carried before his purchase and at the present time and also the total acreage which carries 420 milking cows.-I am, Sir, &c.,
