SIR,-11 Miss Quigly wants to go on fighting battles of

long ago, it is not for me to stop her. But it's really no use her pretending that when she said that those who fought for Hitler were responsibje for what he did and weren't human beings, etc.. she didn't really mean Germans, she meant Nazis. Those who fought for Hitler were the members of his army, navy and air force—several millions of them. Some of them were Nazis and some of them vveren't. But they'were all Germans.

Nazis, Germans, Krauts, Roches, Huns, call them what she will, it is clear that Miss Quigly loathes the lot of them. There,are a lot of people who loathe the Jews, too.
