From a published correspondence between Mr. Wallace, M.P. for Greenock. and Mr. Phillips of the home Office, it appears that four- teen of the persons commonly called " the Bonnymuir victims," who received a the pardon in 18:15, were kept in bondage for three years after they ought to have been released, by the government in New South Wales. Mr. Phillips promises Mr. Wallace that reference shall be immediately made to the Colonial authorities on the subject, and that he shall be made acquainted with the result.
