the seven leading items, five show an advance compared with the correspond- ing quarter of last year. On Customs the increase is 204,931k, on Excise 304,623k, Taxes 18,551/., Post-office 14,000k, Miscellaneous 11,334/. A decrease appears only on the two items of Stamps 28,930/. and Property. Tax 6,405/. The net increase on the quarter is 561,504/. The total re- venue of the year is 50,414,750k, against 49,198,8831. last year.
