THE CORONATION OF THE CZAR.
[To TRY EDITOR OF THE “SrrcrATOa."] SIR, I notice that you state in the Spectator of May 30th that at the Coronation of the Czar the highest place among the ecclesiastics was assigned to the Bishop of Peterborough, " he taking precedence even of the Papal Nuncio." This was not possible, as Monsignor Agliardi, the Papal Ambas- sador, was not present at the Coronation in accordance with the rule of not assisting at a non-Catholic religious function.
