Domestic Service
SIR,—A woman speaker on careers, addressing girls at a secondary school recently, was asked by one girl a question as to domestic service, which the questioner intended taking up. The reply was that there was " no future" in that, and the aspirant should think again and go to see so-and-so about other lines. Can anything more thoroughly wrong-headed be imagined ?—Yours faithfully, D. G. DAvms. The Rectory, Bletclangton, Oxford.
