Posters in Miniature. (John Lane.)—Mr. Penfield has collected a most
interesting set of artistic posters. He has also given us some of Cheret's original studies, which for their ease and power are marvellous. Mr. Penfield's own drawing of himself is a brilliant example of the art of simplification.
The Horse in History and Art, by C. Brown (Chapman and Hall), is an illustrated work which will be useful to artiste, giving as it does much information as to the structure and movements of horses.
