The executive of the Amalgamated 'Engineering 'Union has issued a
pamphlet entitled The Attempt to Smash the A.E.U. : Part of a General Attack. It is cleverly written, but as a reply to the case of the Engineering Employers' Federation it is wholly unconvincing. The Federation in its recent pamphlet had the good sense to give a long series of typical cases in which the Union was guilty of " arbitrary interference with the execution of work in progress." The Union executive has not a word to say about these cases, presumably because they were accurately summarized and- because its action was, in fact, indefensible.
