Zaghlul Pasha, the leader of the Egyptian Nationalists, has been

released from his imprisonment at Gibraltar. A new Government has just been formed at Cairo, and Zaghlul's release is presumably intended to give this Cabinet a chance of winning real support with the people. Zaghlul is over seventy and his health has suffered considerably. Hence he does not appear to be returning to Egypt (even assuming that he has British permission to do so), but intends to recuperate in France. The effect of the release in Cairo is said to have been con- siderable and fortunate.
