Sir: I would like to compliment Alexander Chancellor on his Indian Notebooks (I° and 17 March). His miscellany provides a delightful treat, and its sweep, for a visitor in a hurry, is wide. May I, however, point out that the last King of Oudh was Wajid Al', and not Asaf-ud-Daula.
