From lecture rooms comes the schooled laughter of undergraduates still taught to deride those foolish enough to display an interest in how many brats Lady Macbeth had left to carry on the dynasty after that coup d'etat, or how Milton actually behaved on freedom of the press outside the heady world of propaganda, whether Mein Kampf was really an intertextual extravaganza, referring only to itself.
