We have to notice a new edition of Selections from
the Kur-cin, by Edward and William Lane. (Triihner.)—To this well-known book Mr. Stanley Lane Poole has added an excellent introduction, in which he discusses " the Arabs before Mohammed," the life and character of the Prophet himself, the nature of the religions and social system which he founded, and tho Kur-tin itself.
