THE IDEAL SITE FOR A HOUSE.

SIR,—I am much interested in the article in the Spectator of July 17th on the choice of a site for a house in the country. The aspect should, however, in my opinion be south-east rather than south.' South-east is, I think, the ideal aspect. This enables you to see the sunrise. The earliest rays are caught by the front windows, which are sheltered from the glare in the heat of the day. Sanitation is an important point upon which the article does not touch, but the possibilities of which are of course taken for granted in a site for a house, especially "if it is to supply its own milk " !—I am, Sir, &c.,
