Set by Alan Wykcs Readers are to imagine themselves concerned with the formation of a society for the abolition iof television. A letter designed to attract the maximum number of members and subscriptions is to be composed for the correspondence columns of any one of the following: The Times, Observer, Radio Times, Daily Express. Limit 200 words. The usual prize of £5 will be awarded.

Entries must be addressed to the Spectator, 99 Gower Street, London, W.C.1, in envelopes marked "Competition," and must be received not later than August 18th. Results will be published in the Spectator of August 28th.
