Postal delay
Sir: Peter Young (Letters, 24 July) accuses me of writing nonsense about the postal system. He then goes on to explain that second-class letters are segregated to be dealt with later. He then states that to claim they are deliberately delayed is wrong!
I can only assume that these two contradictory remarks are Civil Service nonsense and must be accepted as logic. Can Peter Young explain how my morning postman discards my second-class mail (without deliberation) so that it can be delivered later in a van ? On one occasion by two GPO postmen—a driver and an observer !
