Parliamentarian of the Year Awards

THIS year as last, no trouble, no expense has been spared to make the Spectator/ Highland Park Parliamentarian of the Year Awards a resounding success. The judges have been unstintingly supported, during their arduous and protracted deliberations, by the proprietors of Highland Park, Orkney, the most northern Scotch whisky distillery in the world. A splendid luncheon has been arranged at the Savoy Hotel, at which an audience of parliamentarians and journalists will learn whom they have chosen to succeed Dr David Owen, last year's winner, as Parliamentarian of the Year. Mr James Callaghan, the guest of honour, will also present four subsidiary Awards. A full report will appear next week.
