The public mind was disturbed on Tuesday by hearing that
the King was ill, and that the Royal visit to Chats- worth must be abandoned. The King had caught a alight attack of influenza, and his physicians naturally refused to sanction his undergoing the fatigues of a journey and visit in February. But though the King has to be careful, like all influenza patients, there seems no reason to doubt that the attack will really prove a mild one. On Friday he was already pronounced convalescent and to be able to transact current business.
