Scots myths -
Sir: Mr C. P. Brogan's observations (Letters, 31 January) on Glasgow in particular and Scotland ih general might carry more weight if he knew enough about the country to get his adjectives right.
`Glasgow is not Scotch', he says. Quite right; the word is used only to describe whisky and (South of the Border) mist. 'Scots' or 'Scottish', if you please, Mr Brogan.
Also, we have Dundonians, Aberdonians, Glaswegians, but as an expatriate son of the capital, I have never met an 'Edinburgher'. T .C. Campbell Beckgatehead, Barbon. Westmorland
