The Paris Messager of Thursday points out some errors in
the construction put upon the new slave-trade treaty; the principal correction being, that the con- ventions of 1831 and 1833 are not merely to be suspended, but are to be abrogated at the end of the ten years, unless positively renewed in the interval by the common consent of the two Governments.
In the Chamber of Deputies, on Wednesday, the Colonial Administration Bill was adopted, by 193 to 52; and on Thursday, the Colonial Bill, (for introducing free labour into the French colonies,) by 215 to 20.
