THE AUTOMOBILE ASSOCIATION badge has been stolen from my car.

I do not intend to replace it; not because I propose to give up my membership of the AA, but to save the patrolmen the com- .Pulsory salute given on the road to all members. It seems to me, after a weekend's motoring, that the motor-cyclist patrolmen are kept so busy saluting that they must steer their own machines by remote control.
