The author of this " Handy Book of Law and Equity " is careful to inform us that his work is designed, not to supersede the employment of lawyers, but rather to enable the public to recognize the cases in which it is necessary to invoke their assistance. With this limitation, the book is, we think; likely to be useful Should any one, however, insist upon employing it for the former purpose, he will probably find that there is some truth in the old adage, " He who is his own lawyer has a fool for his client."
