Worm Casts The casts of worms on a lawn are
unsightly, but they make a good top dressing if brushed in with a birch broom. The worms can be destroyed with a preparation bought for the purpose, although it might be argued that the worms themselves do good in aerating the soil and keeping it from becoming too compact beneath the turf.
