It is interesting to hear of the practical way in which the Bethnal Green and East London Housing Association, through a purely voluntary effort backed by a government subsidy; haS tackled the housing problem, and even paid a smaW dividend. Brent House, built by the Association in Hackney, is a block of thirty-two attractively designed model flats. These flats are let at weekly rents varying from 9s. 3d., according to size.
