BRITISH ALPTCII CORPORATION.
In noting the latest report of this company, it is pleasant to remark that both the report and balance-sheet present very remarkable contrasts to the position which is gradually being disclosed in the Kreuger and Toll group. The report contained the usual announcement—but it is one which has, perhaps, special significance at the present time—to the effect that " during the year a Continuous Transfer Audit has been performed by the auditors of the Corporation, Messrs. Deloitte, Pleader, Griffiths and Co." The report is a good one in all respects, for, in spite of the trade depression, the net revenue for the year was £442,597 against £461,387 for the previous year, and even this small decline was compensated for by the amount brought forward having been larger than a year ago, so that the total amount now available of 2537,388 is actually higher than a year ago. The balance-sheet, too, is a strong one, with a total of cash of over £400,000.
