The arrival of Mr. Punch's Almanack is always an event

of importance. This year it is especially so : in the hurly-burly of a financial crisis we had almost forgotten that such things existed. In the present issue Mr. Punch is, in places, more severely critical than usual : Moeurs Contemporaines are satirized in no uncertain way. " A. P. H." and Evoe " are at their most fantastically delightful ; and we cannot resist mention of a picture entitled " The End of a Perfect Run."
