Homes fit for horses
Sir: I was horrified to read your entirely unwarranted attack on horses and their accommodation (31 October). It is time we realised that horses have hearts and feelings similar to ours. To suggest that ex- pensive and well-bred horses should be stabled in anything but the finest conditions, is ridiculous. I presume that you do not lack decency, but that your biased reasonings over- came your good sense.
