Mea culpa

Sir: A momentary aberration led me to describe Mr William White- law, the Lord President of the Council, as Lord Privy Seal in my Political Commentary last week. Mr Whitelaw, in the words of (I think) Sir Winston Churchill, a former holder of that office, is, of course, neither a Lord, nor a Privy, nor a Seal.
