The Scholl of Persia has marched at the head of
a considerable force against the Prince of Herat, an ally of England. In conse- quence of this movement, ail the British officers who were in the ticball'A service have quitted it. The expedition was considered a mud undertaking. and likely to produce disastrous consequences to the Seln,11,_perhaps even to cost hint his throne and his life.
