'THE ESTABLISHMENT'

Sia,—I am not surprised that Warden Sparrow has weighed in with an offensive letter about Mr. Fairlie's article in your issue of September 23. All Souls was the headquarters of the Establishment during the decade immediately , preceding the Second World War; and it would be difficult to overestimate the damage then done to this country at that disastrous dinner table.—Yours faithfully,

ROBERT BOOTHEIY
