Sanctions

Sir: Those of us who are on the side of Rhodesia may draw some satisfaction from the revelation that oil sanctions have for years been successfully and massively broken. We may be saddened by the possibility that steps may be taken to reduce the flow of oil into Rhodesia, at the same time amused by the embarrassment caused to our contemptible government and nauseated by the sanctimonious hypocrisy surrounding the whole affair.
