'Advisers' for Zambia

Sir: It is reported by your contemporary the Daily Telegraph—and for all! know elsewhere in the national press— that the Prime Minister expressed his willingness, at the Kano conference, to consider sending 'special advisers' to Zambia to help its forces to use their Rapier missiles. Against whom? Presumably against Rhodesian aircraft as in the ease of the ill-fated Viscount.

There are plenty of people in the world who know how to use Rapier missiles, but it is disgraceful for a British Government to make such a statement or consider such an action. Perhaps Mr Callaghan would like to give further instruction to the terrorists to assist them in better ways of murdering defenceless civilians?
