Some interest has been excited in Paris by the lectures

of M. MelteG trumaere, one of the editors of time Journal des Debuts, who has recently returned from a tour in the South of Germaey, on which he was sent by the French Government to make inquiries into the state of popular education. Ile seems to be full of admiration of the wisdom of the Austrian Government.
