The Miguelite garrison of Santarem, under Count Limos, made kdespemte

attack on SALDANHA'S troops on the 18th February. The Pedroites drove them back, after;some very hard fighting, in which both sides suffered severely. The German Diet at Frankfort have released M. HANNO, the Belgian functionary, who was seized by General Dumotmisz, the Governor of Luxemburg. This is said to be done in deference to the strong remonstrances of the English and French Ministers. The General is likewise ordered to confine himself within the boundary as already fixed by treaty. This storm has therefore blown over.
