No capitulation

From Mrs Isla Atherley Sir: I was sorry to read Mr Ian Davidson's strictures on the Government's demand for a separate seat at the coming oil conference. It is quite ludicrous to suggest that British interests could be defended in any other way. Numbers of Britons besides myself must be encouraged to learn that a British Government is actually on the side of the British people, for once!

We have suffered too much already from the anti-British policies of British governments. Messrs Wilson and Callaghan must not be allowed to capitulate or to compromise.
