(Imperial Press.)—We trust that this book is not to be taken as a specimen of the other volumes of the forthcoming "Imperial Library," which, the publishers declare, are to form "an Encyclopredia Britannica such as no private person at present possesses." The present volume has certain pretensions to supply scientific information in a popular form; but it is incomplete, ill-arranged, and contains not a few inaccuracies and absurdities.
