Wigmore facts
From Emeritus Professor Cyril Ehrlich Sir: My recent essay 'The First Hundred Years' on the history of Wigmore Hall (which appeared in Wigmore Hall 1901-2001: A Celebration) entailed some original research and thought. It is therefore pleasant to find a lengthy résumé (unacknowledged) in Louise Flind's piece about the Hall (Arts, 2 June), though I never suggested that the Albert Hall was new in the 1900s (it was built 1871), or that Liszt was alive in 1917 (he died in 1886).
