in 1965 Southern Rhodesia could either have capit- ulated to a puppet Marxist regime or have gone it alone.

The third way would have been OPOV — one person one vote. It allows former leaders to take their pensions, or to try again. If it is good enough for us, it could be a useful system elsewhere.

I commend it to Stephen Goodson and to Robert Mugabe.
