SIR,—Before correspondence on this subject is closed permit me to recall to your readers the following passage from Cole- ridge's " Table Talk " (1858, p. 272, note) :—

" Although Mr. C. was remarkably deficient in the technical memory of words, ho could say a groat deal of Isaiah by heart, and ho delighted in pointing out the hoxamotrical rhythm of numerous passages in the English version—

Hear, 0 heavens, and give ear, 0 earth : for the Lord hath spoken.

I have nourished and brought up children, I and they have rebelled.against me.

The ox knowoth his owner, I and the ass his master's crib : But Israel cloth not know, I my people cloth not consider."
