The Master of Christ's explained in our columns last week

some of the difficulties of moving with the times in regard to motor-ears and cycles in a University town like Cambridge. On Saturday last a Congregation voted on several Graces that embodied new measures attempting to deal with the undergraduate's vehicle. A special Pro- Proctor with expert knowledge is to be appointed. Cars are not to be used before 12.60 p.m. nor after 8.30 p.m. or 10 p.m. in the Easter term ; and with some exceptions first-year men may not keep them at all. The result will be that the noise and danger in the narrow streets of the town will be mitigated in the mornings and at night ; there will be slightly more control over the undergraduate's movements over long distances, and less temptation to him to " cut " his morning work and lectures.
