NORWICH UNION FIRE.

Especial interest attaches to the latest Annual Report of the Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society, as it is the first which has appeared since the control of the 'Company passed from the Phoenix Insurance Company to the Norwich Union Life. The accounts show a good growth in Premium Income and all the departmental accounts contribute to profits with the exception of the Marine Fund. The amount transferred to that Fund to close the 1925 account is quite small, however, in view, Of the unfavourable experiences which have been common to practically all Marine Companies. The dividend

now paid -is the same as last year, namely, per share less tax, and the total Funds as at December last stood at £5,700,000.
