6s.)—As a help to tourists Miss Hargrove's book is likely to be of some value. The author is more at home in dealing with outdoor life and winter sports than with Swedish literature and art. It would have been almost better to have passed over than to have dealt so superficially with such writers as Strindberg and Selma Lagerlof. A number of photographs help to give the reader an idea of the character of the country.
